How does Private Capital protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and secured systems and facilities. We limit access to those who need the information to provide our services, and we store this information in the United States.
How does Private Capital collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you apply for financing, provide business or account information, connect a bank account through our service provider Stripe (Stripe Financial Connections), upload documents, or give us your contact information. We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus and verification sources, with your authorization.
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only: sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness; affiliates from using your information to market to you; and sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you. Private Capital does not share your information in any of these ways. State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
Affiliates — companies related by common ownership or control. Private Capital has no affiliates.
Nonaffiliates — companies not related by common ownership or control. The nonaffiliates with whom we share information, at your request, to fulfill your financing application include prospective lenders and revenue-based financing providers, and service providers that process information on our behalf (such as hosting, database, document storage, and verification vendors). Private Capital does not share your information with nonaffiliates so that they can market to you.
Joint marketing — a formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Private Capital does not engage in joint marketing.
